I grew up in St. Louis Park watching the largest Elm trees on my block being cut down due to Dutch Elm Disease. Those memories stayed with me as I graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Forestry in 1984. During my college years, I worked as a seasonal tree inspector. I’ve been dealing with urban tree issues like Dutch Elm Disease, Oak Wilt & Emerald Ash Borer since 1980.

In 1986 I started working for Rainbow Treecare. Rainbow Treecare’s Origin Story is about the protection of big American Elm Trees from Dutch Elm Disease. Since the Mid 80’s, Rainbow has added dozens of other treatments or protection systems for tree diseases and insect infestations that kill trees. My Days are full of opportunities to educate my clients, provide plans for protecting, improving the health of or just pruning their trees to make them look pretty. There’s an old saying, “Find something that you love to do and you never have to go to work!” I appreciate your trust in caring for your valued trees and landscaping.
