Pruning
Tree-Like Shrubs
A well-formed shrub does not happen by accident. Pruning shrubs while young leads to a well-formed mature plant. The science of pruning divides shrubs into two types based on their form and growth habit: cane growing shrubs and tree-like shrubs. Tree-like shrubs grow a structural framework maintained through the entire life of the shrub. These do not regenerate from new shoots, as cane-growing shrubs do.
