Joseph Shefland

Professional Arborist

I was born and raised in Minneapolis where I graduated from Southwest High School.  I started working for Rainbow Treecare in 2003 and am now a Pruning Crew Foreman working mainly in the western suburbs. I am also a certified EMT (paramedic).  I chose this profession for my appreciation and love of the urban forest and the adrenaline I get from working with heights.  I am an annual competitor in the Minnesota Tree Climbing Competition.  I have been fortunate enough to learn from and work with some great climbers while at Rainbow Treecare.  Currently I live in North Minneapolis and with my girlfriend, Nicole, enjoy snowboarding, fishing, biking, reading, and surfing when on the west coast.
