I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota. I have a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources with an emphasis in forest health and biology. My minor is in Urban Forest Management. I have worked at Rainbow Treecare since 1998. I have held positions in nearly every division within Rainbow Treecare. Much of my field experience here was spent exploring the canopies of trees. You can learn a lot about trees from sixty feet above ground level. I got my feet back on the ground and began Consulting in 2002. I understand that all trees are not the same. In many ways trees are like people. We guide and nurture their growth while they are young and resilient. I recognize mature trees are more delicate, and additional care must be taken.

I have been an ISA Certified Arborist since 1998. In 2006 I earned the distinction of ISA Board-Certified Master Arborist. I am passionate about caring for trees and our urban forest. I sit on the steering committee for the annual MN Shade Tree Short Course conference. I love the outdoors and enjoy gardening, traveling, hiking and canoeing in the Boundary Waters. I believe through science, education and proper tree care we can improve the health and longevity of our urban landscape for successive generations.
