Hi, my name is Kent Honl. However, I am often mistakenly called Ken, Kurt or Kevin. Any of these are close enough. I earned a bachelor’s degree at St. Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota. During the course of my studies, I let go of my pre-medical ambitions and turned toward the world of plants. I studied Ecological Horticulture at University of California at Santa Cruz. I feel this was a good move, as I am highly unlikely to contract Armillaria root rot or Dutch Elm Disease from my patients. 2005 is my eleventh year with Rainbow Treecare. In my time with Rainbow Treecare I have had field experience with nearly all the services we provide. For nine of the eleven years with Rainbow I have been a Consulting Arborist. Working in this field gives me constant opportunities to learn new skills, as new situations arise affecting trees in our environment. I enjoy developing long term relationships with customers; I can take care of your “pet trees” in much the same way your veterinarian takes care of your animal friends.
