My name is Ben Cooper, consulting arborist with Rainbow Treecare.   I have been a part of the arboriculture world since graduating college in 1999.  I spent my first four years in Portland, Oregon working with another highly regarded tree company, Collier Arborcare.  While there, I worked in all aspects of tree care, from pruning 100 ft. Douglas Firs to root crown excavations of ailing Oregon White Oaks.  After getting married in 2003, my wife and I decided to be closer to family and headed back to the Midwest.  I then started my work with Rainbow Treecare and took on the roll of general pruning foreman for our East Metro office.  At the end of 2005, after climbing trees for six years, I transitioned into a consulting arborist position.  With my educational background and extensive field experience I am ready to tackle the problems facing your urban trees.  My wife and I currently live in St. Paul with our Blue Heeler and cat.  We enjoy all aspects of the outdoors, dabbling in native gardening and cruising in our '68 VW Karmann Ghia.
