B.S. Biology & History, Gustavus Adolphus

I started my career with Rainbow Treecare while a student in college, working in the injection division protecting elm trees from Dutch elm disease. While in college I also served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a combat medic. I graduated with honors from Gustavus Adolphus College with the unusual combination of a Bachelor of Science degree in both Biology and History. After graduation I continued my career with Rainbow, first by working as a field arborist and then moving indoors to manage the production and operations of the company. I currently work as a consulting arborist - enjoying the "mystery" of diagnosing tree conditions and finding ways to effectively manage their recovery. I am also one of four owners of Rainbow Tree Company and can't imagine having to wear a suit to work!

I am married, with a beautiful wife and two young children. We enjoy the outdoors and generally like to vacation in national park areas where we can relax and enjoy the beauty of the natural world (although trips to Disney and the Florida Keys are also favorites).
